Antique Folk Art Carved Painted Wooden SANTOS Sculpture religious fragment. I believe this to be an old Santos sculpture due to construction, but a beautiful old carving either way. Please draw your own conclusions from photos and zoom feature. Appears to have had wings on back and perhaps held a spear. Definitely shows considerable age. Just a great decorative object and sure to be the only one on your block. Measures about 8″ by 5″. Please get them approved before purchasing. Any questions must be answered before the sale. Antique folk art hanging wall cupboard, early crusty paint (Santos display)

An base salmon, and and overlying deep green/blue. Measuring 20 3/4″ h x 16 3/4″ w x 9 deep, the condition of the painted surface is illustrated by the two images in picture #6. She is not however without some apologies. Most importantly, the base trim on both sides is replaced… See my last picture. The glass is also a replacement and may have originally held a mirror. There is also the shadow of a missing block at the top board, but what purpose that served is unknown. Since there is no interior shelf (and there never has been), it is possible that this cupboard was originally intended to display a Mexican Santos.. But that’s merely speculation on my part. Antique 18th century carved wood (very possibly mahogany) Santos figure, approximately 11-3/4 tall. Besides typical wear and damage from age, other notable damage is left-hand tip of thumb is chipped, and the right hand has seen damage and repair. The two raised fingers have broken off and been reattached, and the thumb has broken off and been lost to history (those are very delicate areas of the figure). Hands are separate pieces and both come out of the arms (may need a couple drops of glue to permanently attach).
