This is an antique Victorian still life oil painting featuring colorful flowers nestled on a bed of leaves, dramatically displayed against a dark background. The painting measures 8″ x 10 3/4″ and is housed in a later gilt wood frame measuring 10″ x 12 3/4″. Initialed just beneath the stems on the right. On verso there is an inscription “The Herr Baron one of the stud horses of the King of Bavaria” Tudie Dennis München 1881. It is oil on wooden board and is 30 by 28 cm. The painting has scratches mostly around the horse but there is one which starts above the horse mouth and going down. Sorry, the 3 digits of the date are a bit hard to read. We ghave had another look and we think it is 8 not 2 so it was painted in 1881. Small 15in Antique or Vintage Folk Art Painted Carnival Gaming Gambling Wheel

15 inch Folk Art Painted Carnival Gaming Gambling Wheel. Today we have this nice old beautiful hand painted Folk Art Gaming Wheel. This displays the original paint and is not painted over. This has a “Reversible Wheel” – The front side displays numbers 1 through 24 and the back side displays numbers 1 through 12. This piece comes from an estate that had many antiques, mid-century and other highly collectible items. Check out the photos! Condition: Folks I did not clean this piece up other than lightly dusting it off – Opting to leave that task to the new owners discretion. The plastic clicker has a couple of other holes in it, but I can only speculate they were for adjusting the spin or number of turns the wheel would make. The arm that holds the clicker is tight and strong and displays some surface rust on the 3 mounting screw heads and the small screw and nut that clamp the plastic clicker. There is some surface rust on the center metal wheel in a few areas. The points/pegs are made of metal and display a very light surface rust also and some of them are slightly bent – Another task I will leave to the new owner. The wood is 3/4 thick secure and strong and appears to be plywood and displays great color. A couple of nicks on the wood edges, but again a structurally solid wheel! The wheel spins smoothly and also true without any noted wobble. The wood mounting board is also very good and structurally sound. There are 2 holes where it was previously mounted and these same holes can be re-used again. See ALL the Photos in their ENLARGED state, submit questions and request any additional photos you desire! Small Antique Sailor Made Hand Painted Swordfish Folk Art Childs Sword NR.. Tonight I will be listing three Antique Sailor Made Swordfish Swords. All three are fresh to the market and were bought together, however I have decided to list them each separate. Most likely made for a child this 29 ¼” long Sword including the Mahogany hand carved wood handle, has a 24″ long bill. One side has a large blue Swordfish painting as well as a nautical Red Triangle Flag design near the wood hand guard. The other side has the same red triangle flag along with a gold ships wheel, and the whole swordfish bill has a golden, orange shellac finish. The handle is tight and not moving but there is some chipping to the point. That is the only problem with this antique, Folk Art Painted Swordfish Sword. Small Antique 1870s American Folk Art Miniature Portrait Watercolor Painting NR.. Framed under early thin glass this antique, Miniature Folk Art Portrait Painting, measures 5 3/8″ by 6 ¾”. The 8 5/8″ by 10″ Figured Maple, Veneered Frame is original. There is some very old bug bites on the right corner. (I guarantee that the little critters are long gone). And some gesso damage to the inner gilt fillet. The wood backboards were replaced on the 20th century and must have also had some bug bites, because they did add ten very tiny holes to the painting.
