His primary subject always is Frida, copying from photographs and old information out of books on her and her life. This is a stunning, framed Oil on Canvas, Folk Art painting, depicting Frida in 1913, as indicated on the reverse. It measures as shown, framed in a solid light wood frame. The painting is signed lower left, R. Luna, and dated 2024, lower right. A photo of the artist’s Biography is also included in my photographs. This painting was done in 2024, as shown, and not 2019, which is stated on the first line of the biography. He used this biography and included it with many of his later paintings, so that date, on the first line, is incorrect, and was relating to another, earlier piece. Condition is excellent, and a very collectible subject. It has no damage of any kind, although the frame does have a couple of nicks, which do not detract, coming from a smoke-free environment.
