Biography of Anne Langsholt Apaydinli. Anne Langsholt Apaydinli is a Norwegian-American painter born on July 18, 1949, in Sarpsborg, Norway. At the age of three, she moved to the United States with her family, where she lived for 46 years before returning to Norway around 1999. She received her education at Rock Valley College in the USA. The property features a collection of old houses and traditional Norwegian storehouses (stabbur), which serve as studios and inspiration sources. Her sister, Inger Irene Langsholt, was a renowned piano instructor who passed away in 2023. Artistic Style and Influences. Apaydinli’s work is deeply inspired by Norwegian cultural elements, including bunads (traditional folk costumes), folkedrakter (folk dresses), decorative patterns, and traditions.
