Here is a painting of a mother and daughter seated with books in front of the type of setting most popular around 1815 or so. An architectural column and flowing red drapery are the backdrop of this setting, with the two subjects seated at a table. This painting has a good deal of cracquelure and age showing, there are some losses as well. A while ago I had it cleaned and re-varnished to secure everything to the canvas. Canvas size is 17″ x 13″.
