This is a rather poignant retablo imported from Mexico City where it was made by the master retablero, Alfredo Vilchis Roque. It has been hand painted on tin as is traditional and features his version of our newly re-elected president in the flames of Purgatory, a hamburger and MAGA hat in tow. Needless to say, Mr. Trump is not too popular in Mexico! Alfredo is the most respected retablero of the last few decades with works in collections and museums around the world and books on his creations.
