AN INCREDIBLE EARLY 19TH CENTURY PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN STYLE PAINT DECORATED MINIATURE DOME TOP DOCUMENT BOX WITH A BRIGHT BLUE BASE WITH GREAT ORIGINAL PAINTED TULIPS IN POLYCHROME PAINT. THE PAINT IS BRIGHT AND WELL EXECUTED WITH THE BEST OLD GRUNGY PATINA. FANTASTIC ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT. THE BOX IS IN NATIVE WHITE PINE WOOD. IT DATES TO THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY. PROBABLY LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. THE TOP IS A ONE PIECE STEM BENT DOMED TOP AND STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL WIRE SNIPE HINGES ON THE TOP. THE ORIGINAL FRONT TIN LATCH IS STILL INTACT. IT HAS THE MOST FANTASTIC ORIGINAL PAINTED DECORATION. The interior of the box is very clean.
