Vintage Original Jhama de Ica Baas Oil Painting African Amercan Folk Art Church. We acquired over 70 paintings by this artist about 6 years ago in a thrift store down in Rex, GA. They were found in a storage shed from a gentleman named Henry Horacio Burchell who was also the artist (Baas). This charming one depicts a finger-wagging church lady, and like the others the surface is somewhat dirty with scuffs and scrapes here and there. It measures about 23″ x 27″ unframed.
