Very Rare Zook Amish 3d Hand Carved Painting Folk Art Kinzers Pennsylvania

This is a beautiful, rare Amish 3d hand-carved painting by Sam Zook, of the Kinzers, Pennsylvania, Zook family. Sam Zook worked in tandem with Abner Zook before Abner’s death, releasing at least one work by the two of them together. I tried to capture the depth of the carved figures through the photos. This is wood-carved in deep relief. It is quite heavy, I’m estimating around 15 lbs. The size of the frame is 17 5/8″ square, with the inner image measuring at 13 1/8″ square. The depth of the frame, not including the carving that extends beyond the frame, is 2 1/8. VERY Rare 19th Century Folk Art Boy With Dog William Bartoll (1840-1850)

Described as rare for two reasons. First, despite being considered an excellent 19th century artist, William Bartoll, with originals in many prominent collections, appears to have very few reproductions of his work. Second, this particular painting, “Boy With Dog” has rarely been reproduced/reprinted, most likely because the Henry Ford Museum, owner of the original, has not allowed it. This is a printed reproduction of unknown age. Both the painting and its frame (a tasteful dark green) are in very good condition. Handwritten on the back: Artist Unknown: Portrait of Boy With Dog. From the Henry Ford Collection, Dearborn, Michigan Dimensions – Frame (27H x 21W); Painting (23H x 17W) But the artist is known. Very Nice Americana Folk Art US Civil War Era Hand Painted Regimental Eagle Drum

For sale is a very nice US Civil War era Folk Art Americana hand painted eagle regimental drum which shows a wonderful eagle and flag motif. The body measures approximately 10 1/2 inches high by approximately 15 1/2 inches across. The bands make it a little bit bigger of course. It is missing the skins and would have to be re-skinned. It does however come with the original rope and grommets to hold the bands on. It has a really great look and would be a great centerpiece in any Folk Art Americana or Civil War era collection.
