Original Antique Folk Art Painting “on artist board” wonderful landscape with pond rowboat and young love courting. Signed on the back with interesting writing as well -Hard to make out the exact signature but looks like S. Dennunes and Looks to be dated mid to late 1800’s. 18 cents from Sat-Sun. Harntime Yell could be mistaken but thats what it looks like. The painting measures approx. 12-1/4 inches X 18-1/2 inches. What’s wrong with it? Condition is good painting needs a good cleaning- Some scratches and blemishes in the paint doesn’t effect the paintings’ ability to display well- Please see pictures for condition so you can decide. It also was produced c1835 (pre 1900). Really wonderful American Folk portrait miniatures of a family from a New Orleans estate. Obviously a Father, Mother and Child, all by the same artist, all identical oval format, framed and matted identically in carved wood and molded gilt frames with later hangers, original gilt wood matts. The condition of the miniatures are fine, the frames having chips from the molding in various places but generally in very good original condition. Overall each frame is 5 3/4″ x 5 1/4″.
