1800s FOLK ART ORIGINAL PAINT MUSTARD EARLY WOOD DRY SINK DOUGH BOX SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive portable dry sink. Imagine this on the back of a chuck wagon as settlers moved across the country!! Stop for lunch and break out the portable dry sink! It’s a nice size. It’s a wonderful dry, crackled, soft mustard color with blue, red, grey, cream and wood undertones. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The dry sink has a lid on it that is removable. It is not attached to the dry sink. There are also two holes and a small crack in the lid of the dry sink as you can see in the pictures but the lid is still strong. You could use this as a center piece on your table and it would give you a great look. Leave the lid off and fill it up with wonderful greens or pumpkins or Christmas items. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. There’s some damage on the right side where the wood was damaged. Also at that point, you can see one of the large heavy duty square nails. There are a lot of square nails in this piece. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and you can see that there’s even two drains / holes on the left side in the bottom. We took a close up picture of this. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great dry sink! The dry sink measures 32.5″ L x 22″ D x 6.5″ H without the top and 7.5″ H with the top. The top is 7/8 thick wood. We regularly put up new items so check out our other items. Rare Early Aafa Folk Art Antique Hand Painted Blue Desk Dovetailed Square Nails

AAFA ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED BLUE BUREAU DESK RARE OOAK DOVETAILED SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this amazing and beautiful old desk or bureau. It’s an old flip top desk and it’s got a one-of-kind, hand painted motif. The main desk is a nice dark blue color with light blue areas as well as wood undertones peeking through here and there. There’s also oyster white, reddish orange, and dark blue accents on the motifs and trim. It’s all hand painted and quite amazing! The desk has a stretcher base with turned legs and bun feet. Inside it’s definitely from the pen and quill era as you can see ink spills on the inside. There are two compartments on either side of the single drawer which is a nicely dovetailed drawer as you can see in the pictures. On the drawer, in pencil, it’s written 1778. On the front of the desk there is a dark metal escutcheon and a skeleton key hole but we don’t have the key and we don’t know if the lock works. Inside the lid there are black strap iron hinges. They are really cool looking. They do have some newer, but rusty screws in the right hinge as you can see in the pictures but you can see where there is a nail in the left hinge that comes up and through the top of the desk and is bent over. We don’t know the age of this desk, but it looks like 1700’s American to us based on the hardware, the style and the bun feet. We’re not experts and we don’t know so you make the call. There are big square nails in the desk and we took some close up pictures of them. There are some condition issues here and there, but for it’s age, it’s in amazing shape. There are some worm holes in the back, especially along the joint in the wood. The bun feet and stretcher base have some issues including beetle damage, cracks and deterioration. There trim is cracked as you can see in the pictures. Has nicks, dings, scrapes, cuts, cracks, stains, chips, chunks, edge-wear and an absolutely wonderful patina. It’s truly an amazing piece! The desk measures 38.25″ H to the back and 32″ H to the front edge x 36.25″ W x 23″ D. This is a great desk and would make an amazing conversation piece. It’s sure to be a conversation starter! ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE MOLDING PEDIMENT CORNICE ORIGINAL GREEN PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this old architectural item. It’s a pediment, or cornice, or perhaps a mantel. We’re not sure what it was used for but we know it’s old. We don’t know how old but it has old square nails and that alligator, chippy paint. There are two newer metal hooks in the top of the pediment in the event you want to hang it. It measures 61.25″ W at the top of the corbel and 55″ W at the base. AAFA EARLY FOLK ART ANTIQUE WALL SHELF ORIGINAL WHITE PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful one of a kind wall shelf. It’s old, its paint is wonderfully crackled and alligatored. It’s wood, and it appears to be the original old paint. It is white with wood color, beige, green and even a few blue undertones. The white paint is very old. It’s got edgewear and paint chips / missing paint but it’s adorable with lots of age and patina! The supports are nicely scalloped as you can see in the pictures. On the back, the little scallops are held in to the back board with little square nails. On the front, there are a number of places where they put holes through the face board to hold it to the wall. All of this just adds such wonderful character to this shelf! On the top, there are two newer eye hooks as you can see in the pictures. These could easily be unscrewed if you don’t want them. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. The shelf measures 48″ L at the top and 43″ L along the back x 8.75″ H x 8″ D. The wood on the top is 1 thick. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, edge wear, paint loss, fading, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Aafa Folk Art Antique Wood Cabinet Cupboard Old White Paint Square Nails Early

AAFA FOLK ART ANTIQUE WOOD CABINET CUPBOARD OLD WHITE PAINT SQUARE NAILS EARLY. Up for sale is this old antique 2 door cupboard/cabinet. This a cute sized cabinet with great character. It’s probably from the early 1900’s or maybe 1800’s and would make a great little side cabinet or accent piece. It’s a nice white white color with some green undertones and the paint is in places chippy, old and worn with great patina! Inside it’s a cream color with black edges on the shelves. On the doors, there is this cute little handprint in black on the inside of each door. The sides and front are white with awesome patina, crackled paint and green undertones under the chippy white paint areas. The top may have been painted but is worn and not painted now, perhaps from years of wear and use. It’s stained and cracked, spotted and partially painted. There are square nails in the top and back as you can see in the pictures. Some are even rose-headed a little on the back. The back is made up of 6 old boards and a rusty old metal repair that was used to cover a mousehole as you can see on the inside pictures. What a great look!! As for the hardware, the hinges are little Shaker style hinges and are a little rusty. There’s a latch and loop on the front that keeps the doors closed although not tightly. It’s very unique and one of a kind! It’s a super sweer size and could go just about anywhere, like in a bathroom, hallway, end table, etc. As mentioned, there’s some paint loss, nicks, scrapes, scratches, worn edges, deteriorated wood, and dings. All of these “issues” are just as you’d expect from an item of this age. This is a great cabinet! 33″ W x 15″ D x 29.25 H. The wood is thick and is 1 thick at the legs and it weighs a 48. Early Antique Folk Art Railroad Train Wood Cabinet Original Paint Square Nails

ANTIQUE OLD RAILROAD TRAIN WOOD WALL CABINET ORIGINAL DRY PAINT SQUARE NAILS! Up for sale is this very nice old wall cabinet. It’s aged and worn in all the right Primitive ways! It has one door and lots of shelves inside, with some that are removable. The cabinet was made with square nails as you can see from the closeup pictures. The nails are in the top. It has heavy old Shaker style hinges and hardware with a wooden door pull. We think that this probably dates this cabinet to the 1800’s and perhaps it was an old railroad cabinet. We don’t know the age of this cabinet so you make the call. The door has a big crack in it on the front, and there are some scrapes, nicks, and cracks in the top of it (although you can’t see the top if you hang it on the wall above eye level). The color is a dark drab grey-green color. And the paint has alligator-ed, crackled and patina-ed over time. It makes it very nice and unique looking. Simple, classic but old looking. It’s a railroad cabinet. How do we know? It has 5 old tour/railroad schedules that come with it and there are’rules and regulations’ that appear to be for the Railway Express Agency on the inside of the door. The documents on the inside of the door are very tired, worn and age. Some you can barely read. But the tour/railroad schedules are in great shape and very clear. There are two (4) day tour tickets from July 1st to July 4th, 1950 to Buffalo, NY while the three (5) day tour tickets are to Milwaukee, WI on July 2nd to July 6th, 1947. They both are for the singing group called the Swiss Harmony, which was a male vocal group, and they were traveling from Hudson County to these locations. You can see the train schedules below. Inside the tour tickets, you can see the “tear off” coupons for lunches and dinners. Don’t forget your tickets! The cabinet has some damage on the back where the wood splintered or broke, maybe when somebody took this off the wall or something, we’re not sure. Someone tried to put some newer screws in the back to hold the back on to the cabinet. The back is still loose in some places. There are also some newer smaller shiny nails trying to hold the back on. There are a lot of old round rusty nails in the back also. Who looks at the back anyway? It is a wonderful and one of a kind! The cabinet measures 36.5″ H x 31.5″ W x 11.5″ D at the top and 10.5″ D at the cabinet part. It weighs about 42 lbs. It’s a nice-sized. Cabinet and would be able to be hung on the wall or set on top of a cabinet. We don’t know the age of this item but it looks early to mid 20th century to us. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, dings, and worn paint/stains as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Miniature Trunk Hand Painted Horse Red Square Nails

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE DOLL TRUNK DOME TOP MINIATURE TRUNK HAND PAINTED SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful miniature antique wood steamer child’s or doll trunk. The trunk has a painted dome top with painted accents on the front, sides and back. Perhaps this was a dowry trunk? ! The trunk is a green color with red, white, black and other reddish accents. The lid is a round-top / dome-top. The lid’s hinges are not original and were replaced at some point as you can see in the pictures. There is a large crack in the lid, which most likely split from drying out over the years. Some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping, holes and nicks. This is a testament to its age and character. Obviously, it has survived for years and was very well made! On the front of the trunk there is a small metal hasp for a latch but there is no latch or lock any more. The trunk has square nails in it as you can see in the bottom. On the left front side at the bottom, there’s a piece of wood missing and there’s a good-sized square nail as you can see in the pictures. The nails in the top are smaller and look like rose-head nails to us, they are somewhat round but rusty and gnarly. Where you can see more of the sides of the nails you can tell that they are square nails. It measures about 17.25″ L x 9.5″ W x 9 H. It weighs about 6 lbs.
