AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART ADVERTISING TRADE SIGN LONE STAR DOG FOOD ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful old painted metal sign. The Lone Star Dog Food Company is still in business today and started manufacturing dog food out of Texas since 1930 so obviously this sign dates between now and then. It’s old, is has tons of patina on it, as well as surface rust. This sign is a large painted metal sign. It’s red white and blue with a little yellow behind the words “dog food” in the middle. On the back of the sign there are some repairs and newer screws. On the right end (looking at the back) it’s missing one of the vertical pieces of wood. There are also a couple of newer eye hooks to hang the sign up by. This sign measures 120″ L and 18″ H. This is a great sign! It has have some smudges, marks, scratches, nicks, old paint, crackled paint, rusty paint, rust, edge-wear, paint loss. We can also recommend a couple of shippers. Nwtransport at a o l. Vintage Folk Art Handcarved/Painted Wooden Decoy Fish Advertising Trade Sign. This is for a fantastic vintage folk art hand carved & hand painted wooden fish. Has terrific hand painted detailing along with a great carved out “GONE FISHING” on one side only. Does have hanging eye hooks installed on top side of fish. It measures approximately 19 3/4 inches length by 5 3/4 inches height by 1 1/2 inches thick. It has wonderful folk art appeal. It is in great vintage condition. Does have one sliver of wood missing on rear fin on one side. Doesn’t show from opposite side. Great decor for trophy room, man cave, camp, cottage & avid fisherman. Great surface, beveled edges with faint gold trim, uneven hand done lettering, a slight bow and rich patina. Rough smaltz or sand paint surface, just a wonderful look and a true one of a kind.
