Pair of framed oil on burlap paintings by JOSE MARIA de SERVIN. Wonderful images of children — each holding a doll. Hand carved wood frames. In very good condition. Framed, matted and signed. Size including frame: 26 1/2″ x 33″. Jose Maria de Servin was a distinguished member of the group Young Artists of Jalisco. He was an art professor at University of Arizona for 15 years. He is a beloved and honored artist in Mexico and his earliest exhibitions were in the 40’s. Examples of his work can be found at the Legislative Palaces of Guadalajara where he collaborated with Jose Orozco, as well as throughout Mexico City.
