Andrus, this original, American Folk Art Oil Painting depicts a young, poor Black Man. He is sitting in a barn piercing a small hole in an egg before sucking out the contents. Century Black Americana Painting measures 13 ¾” by 15 ¾”. We have inspected it under a black light there are no problems or any restorations. This circa 1880s Folk Art Oil Painting comes in its original 17 ¾” by 19 ¾” rosewood veneered frame, which has light wear to the outer edges. We were able to find other examples of American Paintings by J. Andrus but we weren’t able to find any personal information..
