The family name on the front of this hand painted Firefighter’s Bucket is Wm. It also is marked No 2 with the date 1833. There is wear to the Folk Art painted decoration, but overall this paint is in very good condition. The top and bottom edge of this 12″ tall by 8 ½” in diameter, this antique 19th century, American Fire Bucket is painted red and it is in original unrestored condition, however it is missing its original leather handle. Overall this 19thC Fire Bucket is in original condition and to make sure it is added to some eBayer collection there is no reserve! There is an old stable craquelar to the surface of this painting as well as some lines, caused by the stretcher. Under a strong black-light we found that this painting has been in the hands of a restorer and there are several in-painted restorations. Unsigned, this 19thC Folk Art Painting comes in an antique 23″ by 27″ gilded frame, which has some surface wear and a few small restorations to gesso chips. Hand painted on stretched canvas, which was prepared in New York by Coupil & Company, this 19th century Oil Painting measures 12″ by 16″. This Folk Art Oil Painting depicts two Woodland American Indians and their canoe. Near the large tree is another figure with a fringed jacket. Unsigned, this circa 1880s, painting is in original unrestored condition. There are some small spots in the sky and water, which we have not tried to remove. There also is some edge damage in the lower right hand corner, which was caused by the 16″ by 20″ contemporary frame. We are listing this American Woodland Indian Oil Painting without any reserve. Century Primitive Box retains its original dark forest green paint. It measures 10″ long by 8″ wide by 5 1/8 tall and has small cut-nails and finally hand painted pin stripes. There is some light wear on the edges and a few small scattered marks to the finely crazed paint. Inside is nice and clean, plus it retains the original brass hardware.
