Old Time Medicine – Mystical Crows Version. A Painting / Collage on Wood. This piece began in an unusual way. I created a number of “Old Time Medicine” paintings that I planned to sell individually. As I finished them up, I had them laying around the studio to dry. A few were placed next to each other on old wood that I use to mix paint, test images, etc. I looked over and it HIT me. It looked as if they had been pasted on an old weathered wall years ago to advertise a Healing Revival. I added details to the background as well as torn pieces of paper to complete the vision I had. I’m very excited about the organic way the piece developed, it’s an exciting new direction for me. You can expect more torn paper paintings – Believe me, this has to be seen in person to really appreciate it fully.
