FABULOUS LARGE ANTIQUE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE TOY ROCKING HORSE. Wonderful antique early 1900s folk art wood horse on glider. This is in good condition…. I don’t see any thing major wrong with it at all. I was told this was the original paint…. Mainly a white body with some black patches. As far as I know the saddle is original also. There are some slight surface cracks, but they are not throughout the body, But part of the patina. The legs are nice and graceful and look wonderful in proportion to the rest of the horse. These were used back in the early 1900s as toys for kids to rock back-and-forth on. Amazing how they lasted this long. 42″ Long by 38″ by 16. He is a wonderful large rocking horse. He’s in good condition for his age. He has a nice happy look to him. As you’d expect, there are scuffs and paint loss, scrapes, scratches, nicks, dings, cracks edge wear, smudges and patina! Rare Antique AAFA Early Folk Art Wood Rocking Horse Paint Decorated Crates

What a unique piece this piece was found in an old Barn In beautiful Pennsylvania. The rocking horse is in great condition with no damage but the horse does exhibit some minimal ware. The horse measures 34 1/2 long by 12 wide by 20 tall. The horse is one of a kind and was hand made of old wooden crates with nails and flat head screws along time ago this is a beautiful piece suitable for any antique collection. Original Swedish Dala Horse. Large: about 10inch high. Very good condition, but some same mark on the – please check pictures. Most of the Dala horse come without signature or year, but this one is signed and dated. Comes from swedish family, where grandfather was doing Vasaloppet. V asaloppet (swedish for’the Vasa-race’) is an annual long distance cross-country ski race held on the first Sunday of March. As he was parcipiating in several ski race, now some of those dala horse is for sale. Please check my other listing for another color and year. Swedish Dala Horses are perhaps the most recognizable horse in the world and have a wonderful history and story behind their creation. It doesn’t get any more Swedish than this! The horses are handcrafted, and the timber comes from the slowly growing pine forests around Siljan in central Sweden. Handpainted by artisans, each horse is unique. AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE PULL TOY WOOD HORSE ORIGINAL HAND PAINTED BLACK. Up for sale is this wonderful wooden toy horse. His body is a black color while his saddle blanket is a grey linen backed material. He has a dark red, dry leather? Harness and hand painted red bridle, white eyes and red nostrils. He has a patch of white where his mane was and a little white thing for a tail. Hes in good condition considering his age and has some scrapes, paint loss, nicks and wear. His ears are a little dinged up and one ear is missing a piece of wood. Hes on a pull toy base with iron wheels that are inside the wood. This makes him pretty old. His base is a wood base with red filigree trim. The wheels are black. Hes a cute horse with a great attitude! As youd expect, there are scuffs and paint loss, nicks, dings, edge wear, smudges and patina! He measures 10.25 long x 3.75 wide (at the base). The base is 1.75 H and the horse, on the base is 10 H. On verso there is an inscription “The Herr Baron one of the stud horses of the King of Bavaria” Tudie Dennis München 1881. It is oil on wooden board and is 30 by 28 cm. The painting has scratches mostly around the horse but there is one which starts above the horse mouth and going down. Sorry, the 3 digits of the date are a bit hard to read. We ghave had another look and we think it is 8 not 2 so it was painted in 1881.
