This listing is for the Antique c. 1836 Horse Dog & Hunter Painting Attributed to Joseph Rhodes pictured above. A lovely circa 1836 sporting scene with a horse, dog, and hunter. This wonderful painting depicts a horse and small dog greeting each other next to a small pond while a hunter heads down a path in the background. The sky, with hues of blue and pink, is exceptionally painted with billowing clouds. The work is identified on the plaque as being titled The Gamekeepers Favourite. The plaque also mentions this work is illustrated in Sporting Magazine, April 1836 and was painted by J. Roads and engraved by H. The work is oil on canvas and is housed in an antique gilt wood frame. It appears to be unsigned. 12 inches tall by 10 inches wide (painting). 17 inches tall by 15 inches wide (frame). Condition : Very good overall antique condition. Scattered in-painting, primarily in sky (see photo under blacklight). Losses and wear to antique frame and identification plaque. Antique 1890s WOOD Hand Painted Carousel Carnival Circus Horse Folk Art

Antique 1880s – 1910s Victorian Era WOOD Hand Painted Circus Carousel Carnival Horse. This piece stands 52″ tall is 48″ long and 12 wide and weights approx 200+lbs. I believe to be something that drew people in to the carousel ride or side show attractions could even have been used as just a focal piece displayed at the entrance or center of the circus / carnival. The piece features glass eyes, a real horse hair tail, a 100% hand made painted and carved solid wood body, which was coated in a thin layer of a plaster type substance then completely hand painted. Condition is as seen there is cracking to the wood body due to age , no issues with it being fragile the cracking is just on the exterior, this piece is very solid and structurally sound. This is a nice original artist signed vintage oil painting of a man jockey and a horse harness racing (see photos). The painting is framed in a wood picture frame (see photos). The painting is painted on canvas covered artist panel. The artwork is signed by the artist Barnard with information written on the back identifying the location as Walnut Hills, Illinois (see photos). The painting is American in origin and it is painted in a Naive Folk Art Americana Primitive style (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the artist). The item in total framed measures about 1 foot 9 and 3/4ths inches high and it is about 2 feet 3 and 3/4ths inches wide. The painting portion without the picture frame measures about 1 foot 6 inches high and 2 feet wide. The picture frame has some scuffs, some scratches, some finish losses and other signs of wear. 18thC Hand Painted John Wesley Priest Horse Vertebrae PRIMITIVE FOLK ART Bone #1

This is an antique back bone / vertebrae that is from a horse or cow. It has been hand painted to look like the priest John Wesley. The paintwork on the face is very finely done. Naive folk art which are very collectable today… These were made to make fun of Methodist leader John Wesley and his new evangelical religion of the period. No maker’s marks etc. It is in collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. The paintwork is dirty and chipped in places, mostly on the very edges and corners where the bone is visible. Please see pictures for more details. 5 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches in depth. Antique Victorian Folk Art Painted Wood Gliding Rocking Horse Old Primitive Toy

Antique hand carved wooden rocking(gliding) horse from the late 1800’s, with glass eyes, and real hair mane and tail. He has a saddle cloth and breast plate with spots. At some point he had been refurbished. 38 tall to the top of his ears while on the stand; the stand is approx. 46″ long x 17″ wide. He has some darker scuffs on the inside of his legs; normal bumps, wood shrinkage and imperfections here and there from use and storage. Beautiful decorative collectible for your home. For safer travel, t. He horse will be detached from the stand – upon arrival it will be easy to lift him into place and insert the metal gliding rods into the bracket holes on the front and back. FABULOUS LARGE ANTIQUE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE TOY ROCKING HORSE. Wonderful antique early 1900s folk art wood horse on glider. This is in good condition…. I don’t see any thing major wrong with it at all. I was told this was the original paint…. Mainly a white body with some black patches. As far as I know the saddle is original also. There are some slight surface cracks, but they are not throughout the body, But part of the patina. The legs are nice and graceful and look wonderful in proportion to the rest of the horse. These were used back in the early 1900s as toys for kids to rock back-and-forth on. Amazing how they lasted this long. 42″ Long by 38″ by 16. He is a wonderful large rocking horse. He’s in good condition for his age. He has a nice happy look to him. As you’d expect, there are scuffs and paint loss, scrapes, scratches, nicks, dings, cracks edge wear, smudges and patina! What a unique piece this piece was found in an old Barn In beautiful Pennsylvania. The rocking horse is in great condition with no damage but the horse does exhibit some minimal ware. The horse measures 34 1/2 long by 12 wide by 20 tall. The horse is one of a kind and was hand made of old wooden crates with nails and flat head screws along time ago this is a beautiful piece suitable for any antique collection. Vintage Akta Hemslojd Painted Swedish Dala Horse Wooden Folk Art brown Large 10

Original Swedish Dala Horse. Large: about 10inch high. Very good condition, but some same mark on the – please check pictures. Most of the Dala horse come without signature or year, but this one is signed and dated. Comes from swedish family, where grandfather was doing Vasaloppet. V asaloppet (swedish for’the Vasa-race’) is an annual long distance cross-country ski race held on the first Sunday of March. As he was parcipiating in several ski race, now some of those dala horse is for sale. Please check my other listing for another color and year. Swedish Dala Horses are perhaps the most recognizable horse in the world and have a wonderful history and story behind their creation. It doesn’t get any more Swedish than this! The horses are handcrafted, and the timber comes from the slowly growing pine forests around Siljan in central Sweden. Handpainted by artisans, each horse is unique.
