C1850 Excellent Large American Ebonized Dutch Ripple Folk Primitive 16 x 19 Frme

This is a beautiful mid 19th century ebonized American Dutch ripple frame. Excellent light reflection on this form with numerous, varying waves of differing heights and widths. Original ebonized surfaceon 3 wide molding with a lemon pie crust liner, black painted sides and square nailed mitered construction. The frame is in excellent condition with only minor wear and measures 21 1/2 x 24 3/4 with a 16 1/4 x 19 1/2 rabbet. Just so hard to find these larger period ripples in nice condition…….. C1850 Outstanding American Ebonized Dutch Ripple Folk Primitive 16 x 20 Frame

This is an excellent mid 19th century American Dutch ripple ebonized frame. The color of this ripple is a bit different…. Not the more common deep solid black but more of a dark chocolate-black. In bright outdoor light it looks a bit more brownish…. But in indoor light it looks more ebonized. It has the original lemon pie crust liner that has been shimmed in due to shrinkage and black painted sides. The frame is in excellent condition, measures 18 3/4 x 22 3/4 with a 16 1/4 x 20 rabbet and looks to have been resized. Period ripples are always a tough find and they have so many uses. C1850 Excellent LARGE AMERICAN Victorian Gilded PRIMITIVE FOLK 20 x 24 Frame

This is an excellent, large mid 19th century Victorian era hump-in-the-middle gild. Great silver gilded, worn, raised middle area with light lemon gilded shallow scoops on either side and silver site edge. Frame is in great condition with nice aged patina and minor losses. Measures 23 3/8 x 27 1/2 with a 20 x 24 3/8 rabbet and of course this is resizable if needed. Mitered square nailed corners and unpainted sides. Antique c1850 Primitive Naive Folk Art PUPPIES Dogs Watercolor Painting

Based on a now obscure Kellogg & Thayer print published around 1846, this couldnt have been painted long after. Early proportions and great ink depth. Original paper, because of tears and loss, was mounted to a THICK mat board some time in the 1920s. To do this properly, invest in the removal of the pups from the acidic board. For now, they have been matted and backed with 4 ply museum rag to minimize any further toning. Thin maple frame is likely original or close to it in date. Sight size measures 8.5 x 11, including frame 12 x 15. Very pleased to offer this one, relics like this just dont come up anymore.
