A beautiful c1840 American Sully style gilded frame. Excellent original gilded surface on 2 1/2 wide molding with fantastic patina. Typical flat, canted molding with rounded top edge and stepped site edge. This is a thick, solid frame with square nailed, mitered corners and ochre painted sides. Ame is in fantastic condition with only minor wear and me. Asures 13 1/8 x 15 1/2 with a 9 1/8 x 11 1/2 rabbet (cut down from larger size at some point).
