Antique foot stool with folk art painting of a squirrel country home rustic camp

Nice whimsical hand made wooden foot stool with a humorous bushy tailed squirrel painted on the top. The folk art painting of the squirrel is quite well done and the legs of the stool have a pleasant cutout shape. The sides or the stool legs are painted in a mustard yellow paint decoration. The legs are also morticed into the top. The one side leg is a bit out of square. I believe the wood is walnut. The top of the stool is 13″ x 6 1/2″ and it is 6 1/2 high. Antique Aafa Folk Art Wooden Milking Stool Robins Egg Blue Alligator Paint Riser

ANTIQUE AAFA FOLK ART WOODEN MILKING STOOL ROBINS EGG BLUE ALLIGATOR PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful little miking stool. It has crackly old paint, lots of patina and a great look! The step measures 12.25 L x 8.75″ W x 10″ H. It is a nice robin’s egg blue with off-white and wood undertones. There are layers of paint so it has that thick, many layers look to it. Then, there are areas where there is very little paint with wood showing and just a little paint. There are also some areas of white paint on it including some on the underside. Its a very nice decorative piece for any Primitive collection! On one side there’s a crack and it was apparently repaired with a piece of wood underneath and painted over like the rest of the stool. You can see the split in the side. Then there’s a little round wooden bar under the seat also. The top has big mortises into the side legs as you as see in the pictures. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. We dont know the age of this item. It’s a nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. This is an antique Georgian/early Victorian. Painted ash or elm. 3 legged milking/dairy stool. The top made from a thick wedge shaped piece of solid wood with 3 ash stick legs. With early ochre/pumpkin coloured paint finish. Showing signs of considerable age and wear – the top worn to a smooth patina. Probably Welsh or West Country made. Size of top approx 13″ x 7.1/4″ (33 x 18.5cm), thickest part of top 2 (5 cm). Height 8.3/8 (26.5 cm). In good condition for age and use, just a small amount old worm damage on underside. The table is styled in the likeness of a striped horse bending down to eat with it’s adorable teeth on view. The carved wood is painted a gray with black tone facial features and details and red accents the stripes on the top. The table has markings on the legs. Condition adds to the arts and crafts folk primitive feel of this one of a kind piece. Aafa Ooak Folk Art Antique Primitive Step Stool / Shelf Alligator Blue Paint

AAFA OOAK FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE STEP STOOL / SHELF ALLIGATOR BLUE PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful 3-step stool / smaller stair / bench riser or could even be used as a potting bench / step / shelf. It’s an adorable old 3 step and has crackly / alligator paint, lots of patina and a great look!! It is blue and/or green depending on where you look, sometimes the blue is dominant with a little green and sometimes the green is dominant with a little blue. There are layers of paint so it has that thick, many layers look to it. Then, there are areas where there is very little paint with wood showing and just a little crackly paint. On the front there’s a wonderful little scalloped edge under the first step! The back has a trestle back (criss cross) for support. It’s a steep step so we don’t recommend using it as a step. It’s a very nice decorative piece for any Primitive collection! The step has what look like square nails in it as you can see in the first picture. There are also a number of round nails and some in the bottom also. The tips of the base legs are fairly worn and missing paint as you can see in the pictures. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. The step measures 27.25″ H (to the top step) x 19.5″ W x 19.5 D (at base). The top step is about 7″ deep while the bottom 2 steps are about 6.25″ D. Each step is about. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Great antique folk art decoy this primitive guy has loads of charm he comes with this antique milking stool a great display tighter. He is a working decoy so lots of wonderful wear bottom has a crack which is normal in these decoys but it is stable he is 13 long with old tack eyes really a special little guy.
