This is an antique Georgian/early Victorian. Painted ash or elm. 3 legged milking/dairy stool. The top made from a thick wedge shaped piece of solid wood with 3 ash stick legs. With early ochre/pumpkin coloured paint finish. Showing signs of considerable age and wear – the top worn to a smooth patina. Probably Welsh or West Country made. Size of top approx 13″ x 7.1/4″ (33 x 18.5cm), thickest part of top 2 (5 cm). Height 8.3/8 (26.5 cm). In good condition for age and use, just a small amount old worm damage on underside.
