Antique PA dutch folk art fraktur painted bible box. All original old paint in traditional red, green, yellow, and blue on black. Measures 5 1/8″ x 8 3/4″ x 5 5/8. Inside lid has been pasted with multiple layers of library book plates. Missing front latch hardware. Wood has worn corners and hairline crack to lid. All wear to the wood has also worn the paint. There is no paint over flaws in the wood or older under layers of paint. All indications are this paint is 150+ years old.
