This beautiful and colorful watercolor is of the racehorse Zenyatta and her jockey. Zenyatta won 19 of her 20 starts and was inducted into The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2016. I absolutely love the colors Ron used and the resemblance to Zenyatta is spot on. This painting would look right at place in a den or study or anywhere a pop of color is needed in your home. Ron was a gifted and talented self-taught artist. Framed in a black acrylic frame under glass. Art size showing is 9.5″ X 7.5″. Ron found art to be his true passion in life after separating from the Air Force in 1995. Not only was Ron a self-taught artist, but he also taught a crippled racehorse, Metro, to paint. Metro was adopted by Ron and his wife when Metro was injured on the racetrack. They were also successful in increasing adoption applications by over 50% and they were featured in news media all over the world.
