This offering is for a hand carved folk art figure of a man with articulated arms. The carving is is free standing and measures app. 5.75 in height. The figure is depicted wearing a cutaway coat and straw boater style hat, typical of the 1890’s. The carving has very nice high relief definition with a folky styling, great carved facial expression. The condition is as seen in our photo’s both above and below. The index finger of his right hand has a chip on the top of it and both of his feet are missing the front third or so, however, he still stands easily. The paint is pretty close to 99% and the surface has a wonderful patina. If additional photo’s are needed or you have need of answers to questions we do not address we will be happy to supply them.
