Wonderful pair of hand carved & painted birds that were found in New Hampshire. The stands appear to be newer then the birds, but make a great way to have the birds upright. The birds are apprx 8-1/2long and including the stands they are apprx. I believe at a later date, although not recently, the red paint was added. If you look at the last picture you can see what is under it. The heads are original. The pair is quite wonderful especially the one with his head turned more to the side.
