This beautiful large painting is a true masterpiece of Balinese folk art. Created in approximately the 1960s, this single-piece work depicts a scene of agriculture and farming in the tropical mountains of Bali. The painting measures 30 inches in length, 40 inches in height, and 1.5 inches in width, and is a painting on canvas with the original detailed hand carved wood frame. The condition is as follows on this rarer larger Balinese piece. There is wear to the frame with some damage but it is original and hand carved, this is pictured, the painting could use an additional few nails in back to secure it better in the frame as it’s loose in some areas. There are a few minor scratches on the painting which show the yellow undercoat of color but noticed only with a closer look as it is a very detailed piece of art. Upper left corner of frame could use better securing but all of this does not prevent enjoying as in. Please view all pictures.
