Mexican 1937 Wood Carved Painted Folk Art Festival Tribal Mask Tourist Piece
Antique 1937 or OLDER Hand Carved Wood Hand Painted Festival Tribal Mask 15″ X 7″. I acquired this mask from a family who’s grandparents had brought it back from trip into Mexico. I was told this mask was acquired from the Southern region i don’t know if its tied to the region as historical or if it was just acquired from a local. As for its authenticity it is 100% original, but i do not believe this mask has tribal affiliation i believe it to be used for festivals or its just antique tourist trade piece, either way this was hand made from the region and is fairly old at 1937.
