Here is a WONDERFUL ANTIQUE LARGE WOODEN MODEL SLOOP SAILING BOAT OR POND BOAT NAMED THE ALBATROSS. MEDFORD with EXCEPTIONAL ORIGINAL CUSTOM-MADE PAINT-DECORATED STAND WITH NICE LIGHTHOUSE SEASCAPE PAINTING AND PINSTRIPING ON RED. Model looks to be c. 1900 vintage or thereabouts. I assume the town name refers to Medford, Massachusetts. Boat, including the stand, is 44-3/4″ tall and hull is 31-7/8″ long. The boat and stand in mostly old surface with original c. 1900 coastal seascape painting on the stand. The stand is original to the boat. The painting on the stand even looks like it has this boat sailing in the water with lighthouse in background. A couple of broken strings on the mast. The hull is made out of a solid piece of wood. The sail looks like it is probably a more recent replacement since it is so white looking. The mast is in good unbroken condition. Great old model boat. You will need a small precision screwdriver and tool to reattach the tiny bolt and nut on side of boat on your end. Look for my other nice Old Items I will be listing as well this week.
