Up for sale is a wonderful vintage original Carol Blanchard oil painting on masonite. Carol is a very reputable American illustrator who is best known for her Folk Artsy Lord and Taylor illustrations and her art has shown in large museums like the MOMA. The painting is done with a wonderful stylized approach and painted with rich color. It depicts a topless lady playing a string instrument wearing slippers topped with little bugs. Aside are 4 male figures looking on with multiple eyes to each face. The piece is signed faintly on the bottom right as well as the back. It’s set in a lovely vintage carved wooden frame in the shape of engraved wooden logs. It is in nice condition with normal ware from age and measures 22 inches by 18 inches framed.
