The painting is of people under a tree harvesting fruit or nuts as another person is in the tree with a stick knocking the fruit or nuts out of the tree (see photo). The people on the ground are dress in 19 th century clothing. The painting is on board and is in good condition and is not signed by the artist. The frame has some gold loss (see photo).

Great little folk portrait of a Spanish lady, probably Mexican or South American, oil on canvas with original stretcher. 20 x 16″, 29 x 25″ with frame. The bottom edge was ragged and needed work, but the rest was in very good condition, a professional paintings person did the repair. Search this dress style online and you will find it dates to around 1850. Clock in glass dome is a very nice touch. I found the frame online, it is new and very heavy.
