Wonderful carved and painted American Indian Figures. Base measures 11″ x 11″ x 3. Articulated Indian Figures connected to base with thin metal rods. Possibly was intended originally to be a mechanical piece of some sort. Great example of 19th Century American Folk Art. This lot is a framed oil on linen painting of two brothers. This painting is signed however I have yet to decipher the signature. The painting is in a primitive style circa 1800 from the European continent. Framed dimensions are 19.5″ x 16 and unframed dimensions are 17.75″ x 15.5. The painting is very stable and there are no holes or major cracks. The patina and texture is as would be expected with an item of this age.
