ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WOODEN CARVED PAINTED FOLK ART LADIES BOOTS. Circa Mid to Late 1800’s. Wonderfully hand painted black boots with red and gold flowers and gold side buttons. The details are stunning! The pair of boots are Standing on a heart shaped, hand painted, footed, thin, tole shield of beautiful blues and gold trim with center floral. “If these boots could talk”! Are these an antique model or prototype of custom boots or what? Not sure what their purpose were but they are lovely! Aged to perfection for its age. Some Imperfections and screw missing holding one of the boots on top of the tole. Measure 6 3/4″ T including pedestal base x 6 1/2″W x 7 1/2 D. One Boot is 5 3/4″T x 2″ W x 4 1/4D. Make me an offer! Original African American Painting Folk Art Oil Pastel Acrylic Unframed Signed

This is a one of a kind original painting. Johnnie, an African American artist is incarcerated, has been painting about three years and is self taught. He has donated almost all of his paintings to support a program that allows men to earn their college degrees while behind bars. He has a rare eye disorder and is diagnosed as legally blind, but still manages to create beautiful works of art. This is called ” Second Line To Life” and depicts the proud tradition of the Second Line in New Orleans. It is done in oil, pastels and acrylic on canvas paper H16″ X W20″ is unframed (does not come with a frame) and is signed. There is a crease in the top left corner, see photo. It is on the border and does not affect the actual painting. Also there is a slight bit of damage to the bottom right corner of the border when the tape was pulled off. Beautiful oil on canvas painting from antique art collector. Painting is not signed. The history of the painting is unknown. The painting has different types of wear like indentation to canvas, chipped paint and looks like one spot of touch up paint (see photo). We are not antique art experts but it looks like this portrait art is in its original condition with no signs of restoration except of one spot of touch up paint. Frame is detached from the canvas in a few spots (see photos). Some cracking and peeled paint to the frame in a few spots. Frame needs some cleaning. Dark discoloration to the back of the canvas is possibly a sign of original and antique/vintage piece of art. With frame 35 x 30. Without frame 30 x 25. Nice whimsical hand made wooden foot stool with a humorous bushy tailed squirrel painted on the top. The folk art painting of the squirrel is quite well done and the legs of the stool have a pleasant cutout shape. The sides or the stool legs are painted in a mustard yellow paint decoration. The legs are also morticed into the top. The one side leg is a bit out of square. I believe the wood is walnut. The top of the stool is 13″ x 6 1/2″ and it is 6 1/2 high.
