Nice antique American folk art portrait Miniature of a well dressed woman seated on a classical chair ca 1840s. The painting appears to be in its original frame. It was painted in old gold paint with the original lemon gold surface underneath the gold paint. The painting is in good condition and measures 5 3/4h x 4 1/2w with frame. Miniature Blanket Chest or Document Box in Old Red Paint Nice Size Folk Art

Beautiful miniature blanket chest or document box in old red paint. The paint on this chest is original old wine red paint with the exception of the end cuts that were color matched. It has brass hinges, a nice little rectangular escutcheon (non functioning), and a molded top panel. The dimensions are: 9-5/8″ wide x 5-7/8″ tall x 4 deep (front to back). This is a reconstruction made from old original painted pine and tiny square cut nails. There are scrapes and paint spatters on the front and top panels. A very nice small size. Primitive Folk Art Whale Weathervane Original Blue Paint 1800s Wood Nautical

Every once in a while, a piece of wonderful old wood with exceptional character and patina come my way. That was the case when I saw this great 1850’s pine single wide board in the best Original Robin’s Egg Blue Paint! It became this Primitive Folk Art Whale Weathervane. All the materials are from the 1850’s — the Southern Heart Pine Wood with incredible patina. T he wood knot became his eye. This whale even has his teeth, made of old metal. It is a prominent stand-out on the wall of any room. The wood is a single wide board. He measures approximately 62″ x 15″. You can be assured that this piece was hand crafted by me from all old original materials. It is 100% American made with 100% American materials dating from the 1850’s.
