ANTIQUE FOLK ART 42 CUBBY WOOD APOTHECARY ORIGINAL BLACK PAINT STORE DISPLAY. Up for sale is this wonderful 42 drawer / cubby apothecary style cabinet. The color is a painted black on the cubby faces and the cabinet sides and top are natural wood color as are the interiors of the cubbies. It makes it very nice looking. It’s a big piece! The paint has obvious chips, nicks, edgewear, bumps and patina as you can see in the pictures. It is a wonderful and one of a kind! This would make a great piece to store things in like movies, DVD’s, music or kid’s items. The face of each cubby have a little lip to it which keeps things from rolling out. The back is old wood and made from 6 longs horizontally mounted boards. There is gap between the boards just under the bottom of each cubby which allows air to get to each cubby. We don’t see any square nails but there are a bunch of old rusty round nails. The cabinet measures 71.75″ W x 49.5″ H x 9-1/2 D. It weighs about 60 lbs. We don’t know the age of this item but it looks early 1900’s / 20th century to us. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, dings and worn paint/stains as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age.
