Antique Life Size Folk Art Portrait O/C Oil Painting Young Girl w/ Cherries, NR.. Hand painted on stretched canvas this antique, mid-19. Century, Portrait Oil Painting measures 25 1/8″ by 30 1/8″. Depicts a young girl wearing a white laced bonnet and holding a basket of cherries. She has blue eyes and a slight smile and is wearing red shoes. In the background is a country landscape and the painting comes in a hand carved wood frame. Over the years the original gold finish has crazed and there are sections where it is worn. There also is a repair along the bottom center of the frame. We have expected this original circa 1850s Oil Painting with a black light and there no restorations.. I live in Rhode Island and travel between Southern New Hampshire and Eastern Maryland almost every week. If this is not possible I’m positive we can pack this Folk Art Portrait Painting properly. This is i’m guessing (post ww2) vintage tattoo flash art board pressed between what looks to be plate or safety glass (heavy) it appears to be ww2 era from the designs represented seabees, paratroopers ect.. That said you will get as ifound it! Perhaps someone out there will recognize this art as to who done it!! Anyway its what is is it shows some age it measures 20 by 24 inches on the backside you can see some cardboard and some white paper inside im again guessing to give it a tight fit or???? These appear to be individual pieces cut out and layed out on felt for the purpose of display or example of work from a tattoo parlor!! As this is pretty heavy i’ll wrap it up real nice so you’ll get it intact! It’s vintage it’s very cool! And i appreciate your interest! Jimmy Lee Sudduth folk outsider art nude lady painting

Here is an interesting painting. It is made I believe with mud/clay paint and acrylic by Jimmy Lee Sudduth. I have not seen too many nude figures from Sudduth so this could be rare. I think my father in law acquired it either at a folk festival or the artist home on one of his trips. It is unframed and has a slight warp in the wood, but a framer told me that it will frame up easily regardless. We have enjoyed it just propped up on the mantel. Hand painted on paper, this miniature Portrait Painting measures only 2 3/8″ by 2 7/8″. It depicts a profile of a young man wearing a US Naval, double breasted jacket. At the bottom is the title, “LFT John Rutherford 1849″. In the close up photographs you can see some foxing spots to the background of the painting and there is wear to the 5″ by 6 1/4″ gold gilt frame. A Vintage Carved and Painted wooden Fish in the form of a 14L Rainbow Trout, Will Kirkpatrick, Hudson, MA, 20thC. Will is a highly-regarded painter and master carver known primarily for his traditional Shorebird Decoys, among other interests. See Internet for further information on the artisan. Many of Kirkpatrick’s earlier carvings have been discontinued, including every fresh and saltwater Fish. The 14 Rainbow is not listed at all, so either limited to a small handful or potentially unique. Description: A solid, well-carved Folk Art representation with strong attention to detail, realistic colors and hand-rubbed finish. Delineated gills, mandible, fins, etc. Stamped on the underside: WEK. Mounted on weathered 2×4 base. Condition: Excellent, essentially as-made condition. No cracks, breaks or repaired damage. Note: dowel can rotated 180 degrees to display the Rainbow in opposing position, if desired. There is also a small hole in the lower jaw (for hanging vertically). Vintage Two Sided Metal Tilt-A-Whirl Carnival Sign Circa 1950’s An original double sided Tilt-A-Whirl carnival sign from the 1950’s. Hand painted on metal, this sign shows the wear and tear from years of use traveling the carnivals and fairs of 60 years ago. I have another sign listed from this same traveling carnival. Sellner, a woodworker and maker of water slides, invented the Tilt-A-Whirl in 1926, at his Faribault, Minnesota, home. Over the next year, the first 14 Tilt-A-Whirls were built in Herbert’s basement and yard. In 1927, Sellner Manufacturing opened its factory in Faribault, and the ride debuted that year at the Minnesota State Fair. Satisfaction guaranteed, original and as represented. Antique Authentic Oil Painting American Folk Art Baseball Game Players, Uniforms.. Unsigned, this antique Oil Painting of an American Baseball Game is on stretched canvas. It measures 22 ¼” by 28 7/8″ and depicts three, 19. Century Baseball Players in traditional uniforms. The player on the left has the letter “C” on his double breasted suit and the player in the center has the letter A. On the right you can see a small tower with an American Flag. Behind the players is a baseball game underway. There are two distinctive buildings off in the distance which may help identify where this baseball game took place. Although the painting is slightly loose and could use a cleaning, there are no problems or any restorations. It comes in a 25 5/8″ by 34 ¼” gold gilt frame.
