Antique Framed Cut Paper Silhouette Picture. This unusual cut paper silhouette picture has names and dates written along the bottoms of the scenes (although the dates are hard to read). It looks as if it may have been later mounted and framed in a wooden frame. We have no history to the piece. Condition: Overall in fair condition. The paper cuttings look to have moved in the frame and have some creasing, discolouration and minor loss. The frame has some quite heavy scuffing and wear and some shrinkage cracking to the corners. There are some paint marks to the frame. The frame also shows signs of woodworm – this is not active, but has been retreated as a precaution. Measurements are as follows.
