This is a WOW painting by American artist Albert J. Best known for his paintings using gouache on paper, this painting appears to be acrylic (rather than oil) on canvas. He is known for his naive/primitive folk art in the style of Grandma Moses, and this painting exemplifies that style. Total framed size is 42″ wide x 30″ tall. Visible canvas size is 35.5″ wide x 24″ tall. It weighs around 9 pounds. The painting is in excellent condition with no apparent damage or wear. Back of the canvas has some spots of foxing (painted image is unaffected). Colors are bright and rich without fading.
