This is a very sweet early 1900s painting depicting the famous image of the lone wolf in the snow overlooking a ranch below. It was common in the early 1900s for Sunday painters to copy famous works of art. This was painted by a Sunday painter in the early 1900s. The oak frame is 19 3/4″ by 23 3/4″ and oil on canvas is 16″ by 20″. The painting and oak frame are both in nice condition. Antique Cloth Primitive Folk Art Rag Doll Oil Painted Face Large 28 Sweet

Her eyes are blue. Her cheeks and lips are pink and her hair is painted brown. She has individual fingers and large feet, a small waist and exaggerated large hips. This doll is stuffed with cotton, and wears a calico dress with tiny pink rosebuds. She has a beautiful presence. Probably from the late 1800’s. Condition: This is a well loved doll which has been played with! She has age discoloration throughout, repairs, holes on her hands, on the sides of her neck and a small hole on her nose. Her ankles have repairs that look like a child sewed them. Her dress has stains, holes, repairs, and the buttons have fallen off on the back her dress which is held together with a straight pin. The stitching at the top of one of her legs is coming loose. In spite of these flaws, she is still a great old doll! Add me to your favorites! Sorry, no international sales. Primitive New England Triple Wall Box or Candle Box in Old Black Paint Folk Art

A very nice New England triple wall box in old black paint. This wall box features a traditional style back board of 3/8 pine. The sides and front panels are of thin 3/8 pine. The three front panels are graduated, the bottom being 4″ wide, the center 3″ wide and the top panel 2-1/2 wide which gives it nice proportions. It is fastened with tiny square cut nails. This is a reconstruction or reproduction made from early period wood. The paint is original old paint as is the wear on the edges. The dimensions are: 12″ wide x 18″ tall x 3-3/4 deep. There are paint spatters, nail holes and stains as well. The picture of the back shows a thin strip of wood that has been glued to add a little more strength to the upper back. This charming piece is beautifully decorated with a large scene of a lion attacking a dragonish looking animal. There are birds, flowers and foliage. Measures about 15″ tall, 26″ long and 15 wide. Losses to the paint which exposes a layer of blue paint. General age related wear feet, corners, etc. Interior fabric is VERY soiled. Image on the interior is brighter than the exterior.
