Known worldwide for his illegal graffiti in his youth, he’s chosen not to reveal his old tag name, though his past still shapes his style. These days, Otis is shifting from walls to paper, focusing on text-based art and his signature Bruhserko character. His story runs deeper than paint. One of those scams kept Otis out of school entirely, leaving him illiterate. He never attended kindergarten, elementary, or high school. Otis taught himself to recognize words by sight and uses text-to-speech to get by, but for years he hid his struggles. Now, with a family of his own, he’s done hiding. Through his art, he’s confronting the challenge that has eluded him since childhood-words and letters-and turning a lifelong struggle into his creative fuel.
