Hello, you are viewing my listing for a LARGE Antique Pennsylvania Dutch Wood Trunk Storage Chest with Folk Art Painted Colors and Designs throughout. This trunk chest was found in Gettysburg Pennsylvania. It measures 29 and 3/4″ long by 19″ wide by 16 and 1/2 tall. There are wheels present on the bottom. This trunk is in good condition with some minor damage and wear present. There are no repairs. The front is missing a latch where it locks. This is an amazing Pennsylvania trunk with wonderful details and character. Please view all my photographs for further details. Please note all sales are final. Listed Dutch Artist Pauline Braat Signed, on lower right, this Charming European Village Park scene. It is an Original Oil on Canvas and dates from the 1960’s. Children and their parents play beside a small pond as a man fishes at left. An older man walks by a man who was serenading his date as ducks paddle through the pond. Lovely and tidy (and a little Cubist) village is in the background. The Folk and/or Primitive. Style is apparent in this piece as is the Warm, Rich color palette employed. C1850 Excellent Large American Ebonized Dutch Ripple Folk Primitive 16 x 19 Frme

This is a beautiful mid 19th century ebonized American Dutch ripple frame. Excellent light reflection on this form with numerous, varying waves of differing heights and widths. Original ebonized surfaceon 3 wide molding with a lemon pie crust liner, black painted sides and square nailed mitered construction. The frame is in excellent condition with only minor wear and measures 21 1/2 x 24 3/4 with a 16 1/4 x 19 1/2 rabbet. Just so hard to find these larger period ripples in nice condition…….. Antique Dutch Theme Folk Art Damaged Oil Painting Unsigned 1885 Stretcher

Antique Dutch Theme Damaged Oil Painting Unsigned 1885 ADS Stretcher Corners There are 67 photos of the item below. — The photos load incrementally below depending on your connection, please allow a few seconds for the photos to appear — Measures 18″ x 25″ on an approx 7/8 deep stretcher with A. No signature or names or writing that I can see. Oil on either linen or canvas. There are a number of punctures/tears and deep stretch indents/impressions into the canvas. The most serious see lower right corner area. The canvas folded back around those punctures, from what I can see there are no missing pieces of any size. There are some other puncture tears, see above the two figures, there are two small ones, upper right area has a small one (in the sky) and another on the right in the water area. There are also some near tears/puncture indents as well as indents from the back. The good thing is the damaged areas are not in the main subjects. It took me a bit to find or see who the two women were waving and calling to, off to the right on the shore of a small island is a faint boat and faint ghostly little figure around which the background is lighter. I don’t know if that was intentional or if the painter wasn’t happy or couldn’t resolve that area. You can see obvious yellowing to some either glazes or pigments or both. The entire surface looks lilke it has a glossy finish varnish. I took a lot of photos to help you see the surface of the painting, it’s possible that what I take for a finish varnish is just glazing. If you are a painter, the restoration work is within the realm of possiblity, closing the holes and tears from the back by applying a backing material then restoring the areas from the front. You can also see a lot of edge chipping, leaving the bare canvas ground. I show the edges around the stretcher in the photos. — See photos for condition details. — I don’t have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I’m sorry for the inconvenience. RARE SET OF 6 EARLY AMERICAN PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH SIDE CHAIRS CIRCA 1800’s HAND PAINTED. Up for sale is this amazing set of 6 Early American Pennsylvania Dutch chairs. They have turned legs and painted backs, seats and legs. They are a Hitchcock style chairs with hand-painted floral designs with yellow, green, black and faded white colors on the backs and they have painted seats and legs of white and yellow designs. All 6 chairs match. The stain on the chairs is a deep, rich brown color all nicely patina-ed. The back of the backs of the chairs are plain brown. There’s wear on the seats and one some of the edges where people rubbed over the years. We think these are from the 1800’s but they might be earlier, we’re not sure as we are not experts in the ages of things. The chairs are sturdy. Some of the back of the backs have some little scrapes and wear as you can see in the pictures. The seats show wear, variation in color. And nicks in the finish. Some of the footrests also show wear and loss of stain from rubbing shoes and feet on the rungs. Some of the rungs are just a little loose as you might expect from years of use. Have nicks, chips, edgewear and wonderful patina on them as you’d expect from chairs of this age! The chairs measure 33 inches H x 19 inches W at the backs (15.25 W at the seats) x 14 inches D.
