This beautiful mid-century oil on wood plate folk art painting from circa 1950s through 1960s is hand-signed by the fairly prolific Guatemalan artist M. The rich dark carved wood with leaf motif at the border contrasts gorgeously with the vivid color palette of Mayan children carrying goods in their heads. This piece will complement any décor and is ready to hang with metal hook. Minor wear for a vintage piece of 70+ years. Materials: Wood, Paint, Metal Hanger. It’s all fun and games until your favorite doggy toy gets put on a string! However, we are still having fun. These pugs have found a kindred spirit in this circus monkey. This is an original painting done by me, Folk Artist Maria Fisher. I’ve created it using oil paints over acrylics on stretched canvas. It is finished with a UV archival glossy varnish for protection.
