Paint decorated double wall box in dark red paint with mustard banding on the front and side panels. You’ll need a good strong nail to hang this on as it is a good solid heavy box. It measures 18″ tall x 13-1/4″ wide x 5 deep (front to back). It is made from old vintage recycled antique wood fastened together with authentic early square cut nails. You can see that the mustard striping has worn off in places. Please view all of the pictures and ask any questions that you might have. Beautiful little paint decorated miniature blanket chest or document box. The paint decoration is similar to one found in New York State. The box features a unique painted pattern on the front and sides in shades of salmon, red, green and yellow. It has wire hinges, a till inside, a nice base molding and delicately turned legs. This is a quality reconstruction made from old vintage poplar and pine. The back is unpainted. There is damage to the inside back edge of the top. (See photo) The dimensions are: 9-3/4″ wide x 5-1/4″ tall x 3-1/2 deep (front to back). There are scrapes and small dents. This is a very nice miniature chest.
