Aafa Antique Folk Art Apothecary Cabinet Old White Paint Make-do Drawers Wood

ADORABLE AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART APOTHECARY CABINET OLD WHITE PAINT MAKE-DO. Up for sale is this wonderful six-drawer apothecary cabinet. Isn’t it so cute! It has six equal sized drawers. The color of the cabinet is a nice white, it may have been painted in its lifetime but the paint still looks old. Each drawer has a little staple / metal pull. 23.5 W x 13 D without the knobs x 8 H. It’s a nice little size! The cabinet it made from plywood and is probably a “make do” cabinet from the Depression Era or between there and WWII. The top is one piece of wood and it doesn’t quite go all the way to the back of the cabinet as you can see in the close-up picture. This may have been done to make more than one of these together a stackable item. The entire cabinet has patina, marks. Paint loss, and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. The bottom of the cabinet has a little wood loss on the lower right front. The drawers are very clean inside and don’t have any smell or order to them. All the drawers work but a couple of them do stick a little. This is a very nice little apothecary cabinet! We don’t know the age of this cabinet but it looks old to us! You make the call. It is a wonderful and one of a kind item! There are nicks, scrapes, dings. Paint loss, paint chips, and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. We will do our best to answer your questions. Aafa Early Folk Art Antique Cabinet Cupboard Old Red Grey Paint Square Nails

AAFA EARLY FOLK ART ANTIQUE CABINET CUPBOARD OLD RED GREY PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful old wall cabinet or cupboard. It’s a wonderful grey / red color. It has a single door and scroll top. There are Shaker style hinges and a wooden thumb-turn spin latch. The cabinet measures 27.25 H to the main part of the cabinet and 31 H to the top of the scroll top x 19 W x 10.25 D. There is a large hole in the scroll top probably from where it was hung on the wall. The cabinet is old, but we don’t know how old. It does have square nails in the back and we took a picture of some of them for you. They are all rusty but some of the nails are round also. The paint is old and crackled with grey on top with red and wood color undertones. The back of the cupboard is wood and it made from two pieces of wood (or one split one) and the gap between the two sides is pretty obvious as you can see in the pictures. Inside there are two shelves, three sections total. The inside is painted the similar grey with stains, streaks, edgewear, patina and obvious wear from use and age. Please see the photos for an accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a nice old cupboard!! The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, chipping, crackling, chips and nicks. Thank you for looking at this item. Let us know if you have any questions. Aafa Antique Early Folk Art 1800 Cupboard Pie Safe Square Nails Dovetailed Paint

AAFA ANTIQUE EARLY FOLK ART 1800 CUPBOARD PIE SAFE SQUARE NAILS DOVETAILED PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive pie safe / cupboard. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a single drawer up above. On the sides, there are punched tins little stars on them as you can see in the pictures. They appear to be the original tins which are in good shape as you can see in the pictures but not without issues. There is a hole in the second tin on the left side. There’s some paint on the tins and some paint not on the tins. 38.75″ wide at the top by 16″ deep at the top it’s 50. It’s a wonderful Primitive red painted finish with the richness of the patina of age. The back is great looking and has stains and patina. It also has letters stenciled across the top of the back and they say “AWG”. There are square nails in the top along with rusty round nails. We took a close up picture for you. On the front, the left door has a crack / split in it in the middle and the right door has a crack / split along the right side. You can see these in the pictures. On the drawer, the left knob / pull is a mushroom style while the right one is not. There’s a little metal thumb turn on the doors and it has some marking, scarring and twisting marks from years of use. Inside there’s a latch bolt that apparently was added to keep the left door in place and then the thumb turn keeps the other door to the left door. The doors have Shaker style hinges. Inside there are three shelves which have patina and wear on them. The top is wood but is not painted. The drawers are not dovetailed. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! The cabinet has some edge wear, scrapes, scratches, chunks of wood missing, chips, patina, fading, variation of color, mouse holes, rounding, and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART ADVERTISING TRADE SIGN LONE STAR DOG FOOD ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful old painted metal sign. The Lone Star Dog Food Company is still in business today and started manufacturing dog food out of Texas since 1930 so obviously this sign dates between now and then. It’s old, is has tons of patina on it, as well as surface rust. This sign is a large painted metal sign. It’s red white and blue with a little yellow behind the words “dog food” in the middle. On the back of the sign there are some repairs and newer screws. On the right end (looking at the back) it’s missing one of the vertical pieces of wood. There are also a couple of newer eye hooks to hang the sign up by. This sign measures 120″ L and 18″ H. This is a great sign!
