Max Mays and I would have breakfast at’T’s’ every week. I wanted to quit painting but Max said’No. We also talk about a book of his work, that’s what this is. A selection of Max personally chosen art to share with you, enjoy, and know Max always told me if God gives you a gift- share it with the world. Comeau was a student of Corita Kent, having met in 1968 when he and Kent were hired to produce materials for their churches. The pair stayed in contact until Kent’s death, having collaborated on prints utilizing Comeau’s art and Kent’s calligraphy.
