Mid 20thC trompe l’oeil or still life folk art painting depicting a school teachers desk with an apple, inkwell and pen, books, a wooden box, school bell, etc. Scene is painted on the lid of an old students wooden desk complete with a hole for an inkwell and pencil tray, that measures 24″ x 17.5″ x 7/8. Noted scratches or scuffs to surface mainly near bottom margin. Sawtooth hanger on back to allow for hanging. See photos, both sides shown and closeups.
