Mid 20th Century Oil – Flocking Flamingos. A charming and highly decorative oil in a naive style showing a group of elegant flamingos, gathered in shallow waters under a dramatic darkened sky. The painting is presented in a gilt frame. There is an impasto, naive figurative portrait on the reverse. The painting has heavy paint loss across its entire surface and a light bloom on the paint. The frame has losses to the gilt at all edges. The overall effect is fortunately rustic. Size: 21 x 57cm (8.3″ x 22.4″). Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
