Prior, a noted author and painter of approximately 300 of these portraits lived at 36 Trenton Street in East Boston, when he painted this series of George and Martha Washington dated by her linen scarf, without the brick wall background. It is 23″ X 18 1/2″. It has some typical paint loss, but is notably better then most of the others we have seen in the last few years.
