This is a delightful antique portrait of a mother with her child. The painting (sight) measures 30-1/2″ x 25-1/4″ and is framed in an antique gilt wood and gesso frame measuring 36″ x 28-3/4″. I just love these mother & child portraits. They give me so much hope that, despite all the turmoil in the world, life goes on, and life is still good. Condition: Craquelure, scattered flaking and losses to paint surface (please see photos). In-painting to mother’s face, neck, and small areas of background. Frame shows scattered cracks, and some losses to gesso. Please excuse the flash in the next to last photo, as I was trying to get a good photo of the frame. Thanks for stopping by.
