My father grew up in Coaldale, PA, the town directly adjacent to Savitskys Lansford – The two towns share a town line and a main street. My parents, both decended from coal miners, were well-connected with the area and took a liking to Savitskys work and his affectionate portrayals of the locale and its people. The paintings were given to me by mother. I do not recall where my parents acquired them, but they did so in the late 80s to early 90s. Dimensions inside frame: 23.5 x 15.5.
