AFA Antique primitive folk art, carved wood painted two piece Noah’s Ark – likely made in Germany, late 1800s / early 1900s. Noah and wife are attached to ark. Includes 20 animals – 9 pairs (dogs, elephants, horses, camels, sheep, pigs) and two single animals (deer with antlers). Roof lifts off, ark is hollow for storage of animals. No signature or maker mark. Very detailed animals with painted faces, carved horns, etc. Ark measures 9″ long, 2″ wide, 4 1/2 tall. Some wear as shown in photos. One dog is missing front leg.
