AAFA FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE BUCKET BENCH WOOD OLD BLUE PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful one of a kind bucket bench. It’s old, it’s adorable and it’s a wonderful painted blue color with soft green undertones and lots of age and patina! There are two shelves that are nailed into the sides of the bucket bench as you can see in the pictures. The shelves are in good condition but the top shelf has a portion of wood missing, likely where a knot was, in the middle-left-center as you can see in the pictures. The right side of the top shelf has a small crack in it and on the left side one of the nails created a chip in the shelf and the chip is still there. We took a close-up of that area for you. The whole bucket bench is in good condition considering its age. The bucket bench measures 38″ W x 29-7/8″ H x 12-5/8 D (with the back board). The wood is almost exactly 1 thick, just slightly less. The sides both have cracks in them but they are still sturdy and have not split. The sides at the bottom have a nice rounded scalloped / bootjack to them and top edge is radiused. The back boards have circular saw marks as you can see in the pictures. There are a couple of places where the nails split the wood. There are mostly old square nails as you can see, but there are also some gnarly looking rusty old round nails. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. We don’t know the age of this item but we think it’s from the 1800’s but you make the call. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, edge wear. Loss, paint, fading, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. We will do our best to answer your questions.
